Referring to the drawings in detail, the electromagnetic device of the electromagnetic clutch includes a ring-shaped magnetic case having a U-shaped end surface, an electromagnetic coil housed in the ring-shaped magnetic case, and a ring-shaped support plate to which the ring-shaped magnetic case is firmly fixed by spot welding. The diameter of the upper cylindrical portion is designed to be larger than the diameter of the lower cylindrical portion. The upper surface of the shape of the groove is slightly inclined to fit the bottom surface of the hole. The annular upper surface of the groove is slightly inclined to match the bottom surface of the hole. The diameter of the annular bottom surface of the groove is designed to be slightly larger than the diameter of the inner side wall of the hole. Partially disposed inside the hole, the annular groove of the washer engages closely with the annular flange.

The annular support plate includes a shallow annular portion defining a notch thereon, and an annular portion extending radially from the periphery of the shallow annular portion. The annular support plate is provided with a semi-circular cutout portion formed at the annular portion thereof. The semi-circular cut-out portion is aligned with the hole in case that when the bottom end portion of the ring-shaped magnetic housing is firmly fixed on the ring-shaped portion of the ring-shaped support plate, the lower cylindrical portion of the gasket can be arranged in the ring-shaped portion.
